Simon participated in the Global Organizational Learning and Development Network’s (GOLDEN) panel debate during a workshop in Vienna. The panel: Simon Zadek, Ed Freeman and Alfie Marcus, addressed the GOLDEN strategy with respect to incremental and radical change. The discussion was moderated by Arnaldo Camuffo.

  • Simon participated in the live debate hosted by KPMG as part of its 100th anniversary activities. The event brought together twelve eminent personalities representing civil society as well as the public and private sectors to discuss and challenge each other on the topic of “Accountability: Blame and responsibility – an opportunity to restore trust?”


    Simon talks to OneClimate about energy options in the South African context and the importance of looking at the climate scenario through an economics lens that reinforces the importance and power of national-level solutions.

    In December, Simon participated in a dialogue about Chinese businesses operating in Africa. As with all multinational business, if Chinese companies are to succeed in creating economic opportunities that mutually benefit their own and host economies, they will need to understand and respond to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risks, as well as help to secure sustainable development in the region through both their products and services and their influence on the local environment.


    In October 2009 after a climate related event that took place in São Paulo and was supported by Itaú-Unibanco, Simon was interviewed to talk about the impacts of climate for the global business community and the financial sector.


    In April 2009 after the G20 meetings in London and at a time where numerous debates concerning the root cause of the crisis and the solutions were being sought to avoid repeating the same mistakes, Simon Zadek appeared on CCTV International Dialogue to discuss this situation.
